Look out Leprechaun

This is Alli's (my 7yo granddaughter) Leprechaun trap for school. I'm so proud, and so is she. She made 95% of this on her own......the other 5% was just me, showing her how to use the glue gun, etc.... SO CUTE! We painted the popsicle sticks with liquid watercolors. Simply place a small amount of the paint in a flat plate/bowl and the sticks suck the paint right up. Very fast and super duper easy! ;)

Duct Tape

BRILLIANT, genius if I do say so myself. I've seen people using masking tape to make roads for play cars on the floor, on the couch, everywhere! I thought, "ya know, they make duct tapt in all sorts of colors and designs now. Why don't they make "road" duct tape. I sent an email to Duct Tape with my idea, and they like it, they sent it over to their RD department. I'm sure I won't get anything from it, if they do decide to use the idea.....but, HEY it was MY idea! Now of course, the finished product would be on white duct tape!

Ring O' Cards

I bought two little calendars yesterday for .15cents each. I chose some really colorful butterfly and bird calendars, since we will soon be outside and spring is springing! I cut out each photo: Put two photos back to back, then laminate them: Cut them out, hole punch in the corner, and add a binder ring, .......WAA LAA! Finished product and pretty darn colorful! I'll be making more of these for sure! Wait until the calendars are discounted and make those dollars stretch 'til they hurt!

Well, Here I Am!

Well, here I am! Starting a new blog to help out my fellow child care providers to stretch a buck! My dream for this blog is to share all the ideas I have, which often run rampant in my mind, some are original ideas, some are twisted ideas from other sources, and some I will borrow :) There will be a lot of colorful photos, step by step instructions for some projects, and maybe even off topic posts. Who knows where my brain will take me on any given day! I do know this......I am a right-brainer, there fore making me a very visual, hands on learner. So, if that sounds like you, BOY OH BOY, you've found the right (brain) blog. Please feel free to follow me via email, share my posts on FaceBook or Twitter, and have fun!
